Posts are those entries that are displayed on your wordpress site homepage. Posts have comments page unlike pages and other display features of a wordpress site. To write a posts, you will need to login to the administration panel and click on the posts sub-panel and click add new post. Fill in the spaces that are provided to create the posts of choice. When your post is ready, you will click on the publish tab. It is important to consider several factors while creating posts on your site.
Posts usually have several fields and you have to decide the fields to be displayed and which will not be displayed. This function is allowed by the screen options which are found under the screen option tab on your wordpress site. Several fields are displayed with check boxes next to them. Check on the box of the field you would like to appear and save the changes accordingly. If you are using for example wordpress version 3.1, it is important to note that most of the screen options are hidden by default especially if you have never used them.
Titles to your posts are important in indicating what your clients are reading through. They have to be added to the posts and should be unique words and phrases. Avoid using titles more than once. If you have to use the same words or phrases, include characters like commas, apostrophes, quotes, hyphens/dashes and other symbols that you can use to distinguish the two. Posting or writing the post content on the editing area can be done by either using visual view or HTML view. These two options low you to add the content, images and other important links to the display box.

Publish box is part of the post where the status of the post is indicated for example, published, pending review and draft. Published denotes post that has been published successfully, pending shows an post that has been submitted but not yet published while draft denotes a post that is not yet done. Publish box can be costumed according to preference. For example, you can put your post as public which literally means that the posts are accessed by all people visiting your site or you can restrict access to it by including a password. Private posts can also be created and they cannot be viewed by any other person other than you.

If your site is one that involves discussions and comments at the bottom part of the site, you should consider allowing comments and trackbacks to the site. Users at the other end can be able to add comments and other information on your site with ease. Once this is complete, you need to make sure that everything in the posts is as required. Always spell check the content on the site and make sure the work is paragraphed and adjusted accordingly. It is imperative to consider your writers when writing posts. Always include everything that makes their reading your posts better and allow them to leave feedback comments below the posts.
